Roger Steffy, Mennonite pastor Roger Steffy is an ordained Mennonite minister with 14 years of pastoral experience. He served as lead pastor at Slate Hill Mennonite Church, Camp Hill, PA from 1989 to 1999. Since then, for three and a half years, he directed a transitional housing program for homeless women with children in inner city Harrisburg, PA, called Brethren Housing Association (BHA). Roger currently serves as Director of the ADVANCE Program in York, PA. ADVANCE is a batterer's intervention program, which operates educational groups for abusive men to help them end violent and controlling behaviors in their personal relationships. It is a program of Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania (LSS/SCP). Roger views this work very much as a continuation and extension of his calling to ministry and is available as a resource person for congregations and church institutions on issues related to masculinity, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
