I SEE SO MUCH ON THE INTERNET ABOUT SUICIDES OF TODAY..LAST YEAR..THE YEAR BEFORE. BUT..I KNOW THERE WOULD BE A INTEREST IN YOUR SITE IF YOU HAD SOMETHING TO CLICK ON FOR THE OLDER CASES OF SUICIDES FROM PAST YEARS AND THE FAMILIES ARE STILL TRYING TO STRUGGLE WITH THE TRUTH! 1970'S THROUGH THE 1980'S ESPECIALLY IS THE TIME FRAME I AM TALKING ABOUT. I AFTER 27 YEARS OF TORMENT OVER MY SISTERS SUICIDE SHE WAS 25 I WAS ALMOST 13 STARTING 8TH GRADE WHEN I FOUND HER. I KNEW THEN THERE WAS MORE TO HER DEATH. I SAW HER CHANGE. AND AS OF 6 WEEKS I HAVE THE TRUTH THAT WILL HELP OTHERS LOST..AND FORGOTTEN BECAUSE OF THAT WORD "SUICIDE" PLEASE PUT A CATEGORY TO CLICK ON FOR OLDER CASES..YOU WILL GET A HUGE RESPONSE ONCE PEOPLE FIND YOU.

Hoildays are upon all us now. Missing his smile and his loving eyes

Christmas is 6 days away knowing this is his favorite time of the year and being the second year with out him is so hard I try to smile and try to make it happy for my other children but knowing in my heart that it hurt's so much. Next month being that is will be two years that he has been gone and that he would be 21 years old this year the year he always talked about.
Knowing I have to go to his grave site and see him is not fair...
God only know's how much I miss and love him.
Life is not easy for me no more knowing my son is not here with me. I know it is hard for me to walk around knowing my son is not with me no more I can not imagine how that little girl walks around knowing that she is part of our pain that she put on us. Merry Xmas son. Love you always and forever.

Conference for Widows, including suicide

The National Conference on Widowhood will be held in San Diego, California from July 17-19, 2009. This event will provide useful resources and practical tools for rebuilding your life after the loss of a spouse. We have twenty-five speakers coming from thirteen states speaking on more than thirty topics specifically related to recreating a positive and purpose-filled life. We are proud to welcome some of the top professionals in the area of grief and loss, as well as some women who speak only with their "widow credential."
I am particularly eager to share this information with you, because we will be welcoming Carla Fine, the author of Touched by Suicide, as a speaker. Through my personal interaction with widows of suicide, I have become aware of the added heartache that is associated with this kind of loss. Carla speaks from experience, both in loss and in recovery, and understands well the variety of intense feelings death by suicide creates.
